“What’s going on with me and my life?” How do I progress to the next stage?. Where do I even want to go to? When is the right time to make a move?

These are questions that mostly give you restless nights…. And when you have nowhere to turn to or anyone to talk to, that’s even more depressing and lonesome. You then ask yourself ‘ what am I on earth for? Why is this happening to me?, How do I move from here to there? etc.. sending you further into a dark and lonely place in your mind and in your life.

Being curious though causes us to ask questions, seek new answers to age-old problems, and fosters a spirit of innovation. Becoming curious about issues that bother us and making an effort to learn more usually acts to relieve that concern / fear. The ability to be curious about almost anything you like (as long as you follow certain ethical guidelines related to privacy and research involving human subjects) is, after all, a clear show of freedom.

Consider this: when you were young, you learned from your environment and people around you how to navigate through life. You develop certain habits and thoughts that were useful to you at the age you learned them.

Right this moment, life is changing and evolving and what was right for us years ago is no longer helpful for us to navigate life in different circumstances. In the olden days of our development when we looked for direction someone said to us to go 2 streets and turn left on the groundout and today, everyone is using GPS and you wonder why they get to their destination faster. Just imagine what would happen if you took a 30-year-old map of your city and tried to find your way?

In our confusion in life, we ask questions and more, so we can gather the information needed to move forward. As much as these are difficult to face and answer, we continually have to question the status quo, ourselves and introspect on how to advance in life.

It is never the end of the road in any situation. There is always a way out of any mess you face. You only need to change the lens through which you look.

“Curiosity killed the cat” has a positive rejoinder: “But satisfaction brought it back!”

Let us ponder on these things and we will share our thought again another time.

Until then,
